About Pedro...
P. Brock. 'Pedro' from Crieff, Scotland, has been drawing and painting all his life, after a spell at Art College in Dundee he worked with the Scottish Tartan Museum in Comrie, Perthshire, as an illustrator, and also painting exhibition murals.
Between other jobs he started his career travelling around Highland Games and Gala days setting up a stall and drawing caricatures, people started to notice his work including fellow cartoonist Malky McCormick, who introduced him to The Cartoonist Club of Great Britain, in London.
He also started doing weekly cartoons for his local newspaper. His cartoons and caricatures became very popular, and he was being commissioned for book and magazine cartoons, and was being booked for work at Weddings and Corporate Events.
At weekends he would draw Caricature's for guests at Crieff Hydro and is still there during peak season.
His big break came in 1995 when a well known Scottish Musician suggested he try the Cruise ships. After an interview in London he was invited to Join 'The Southern Cross' this lead to work on many cruise ships drawing passengers as well as holding cartoon workshops and painting classes for passengers. His work has taken him to many destinations throughout the world and enabled him to draw many famous faces. Throughout the UK he was hired for many a start studded event and drew the likes of James Cosmo, The Stars of 'Emmerdale' , singer Katherine Jenkins, Susan Boyle, Gerry Marsden, and many top UK football players.
His own work has enabled him to appear on TV and has been interviewed on several Radio programme's. After a visit to GMTV, Lorraine Kelly was kind enough to put a few words together for one of the many cartoon Books he has published.
